TIGR4Smart

In the scope of the project, a demonstration unit was established where achievements are presented, including solutions for the building envelope, wooden structural systems, oversized building furniture and smart building management systems.
Program description: The goal of the program is to develop products and technologies that enable the establishment of a healthy living and working indoor environment by combining the development potentials of companies and research organizations.
The program is partially co-financed by the EU from the Regional Development Fund as well as the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport within the framework of the Operational Program for the Implementation of 2014–2020 European Cohesion Policy.
Wooden structural systems
Buildings represent the framework of the indoor living environment, which is very important for our health and well-being as we spend the majority of our lives indoors. The operation of all systems in buildings consumes about 40% of all energy used by the building. Therefore, the energy efficiency of buildings and the rational use of energy are extremely important. In the pursuit of a clean environment and the urgent need to reduce waste generation, the use of renewable materials and sustainable solutions is becoming increasingly important.
Within the activities of Hybrid Construction Assemblies, we have set the following goals. We will develop innovative horizontal and vertical prefabricated construction assemblies that allow the construction of open spaces and highly energy-efficient buildings, namely:
– External load-bearing walls from wooden frame construction with built-in large-dimension joinery;
– Ceiling elements from wooden composite beams that span large distances;
– Roofing elements with high thermal insulation and a large phase delay in heat transfer.
Program results
– 20 innovations and 3 patent applications,
– 20% increase in private investments in R&D,
– Technical instructions produced for at least 4 development solutions,
– New investments (10% of the program value),
– 18 product prototypes and 1 demonstration living unit,
– 8 scientific articles or presentations at scientific conferences,
– 11 internal workshops among program partners,
– 5 new project applications.
