Jelovica Group headed by new management

To leverage all the market potentials of sustainable construction trends and further enhance Jelovica’s pioneering role in the sector, Gregor Benčina, who has successfully led the company for 15 years, has recently been joined by Matjaž Grm as a partner in the company. As the CEO, Matjaž Grm is taking over the management of the entire Jelovica Group, which has been operating since 1905 and will continue its rich history of manufacturing and marketing low-energy houses and windows, both domestically and abroad.
With many years of experience in various leadership positions at successful Slovenian exporters, such as Elan, Adria Mobil and Greenline Yachts, Grm is taking over the leadership of yet another traditional Slovenian company. He will continue on the path of growing and developing the innovative brand with the team of existing colleagues, while at the same time strengthening the international market position of the export-oriented company.
Jelovica Group, which will celebrate its 120th anniversary next year, is a pioneer in modern prefabricated construction and the largest Slovenian exporter of prefabricated buildings to demanding Western European markets. With its mission of producing wooden houses and windows, the Group –along with its 120 employees and technologically advanced facilities – will continue at two product-specialized locations. Continuous investments in development and a long-standing awareness about the importance of sustainability, which has brought the company numerous awards, such as innovation awards, environmental awards and the Greenstar certificate, confirm that the Group is heading in the right direction. This is also proved by the foreign markets we export to, which largely include Switzerland, Germany and Italy.
After exceptional sales growth and successful operations in recent years, the Group has secured excellent foundations for further growth, internationalization, business digitalization and further development of employees. This way, the company can take an even more important role in the European market of low-energy homes and joinery.
